The ingredients we use in our formulas is one area where we always play it safe, and maintaining the health and safety of your skin is our priority. All Goodhabit products are non-toxic and free of synthetic fragrances, parabens, phthalates, and mineral oils. We meticulously screen each and every ingredient against our'Never Will We Ever' List, and refuse to use 1,500+ ingredients we believe are unsafe or are a concern to the environment.

Yes, all of our products have been Dermatologist tested.

We pride ourselves on being a vegan and cruelty-free brand. We'll never test on animals, nor will we use animal ingredients or by-products in the manufacturing process or in the final product.

We put all of our products under a careful review for safety, which includes testing for allergens. That said, it's important to note that in a similar way that the term "clean" in beauty has yet to be regulated, there are no federal standards or definitions that govern the use of the term "hypoallergenic." Manufacturers of cosmetics labeled as hypoallergenic are not required to submit substantiation of their claims to FDA. We do our due diligence on our end to ensure our products won't trigger a reaction, but we advise you to check labels to ensure personal allergens are not present, and when in doubt, to consult your doctor.

Like most cosmetics, all of our products have a shelf life of 3 years, and should be used within one year of opening.

Not unlike your best friend grilling your potential new partner, we put our products through the ringer and do rigorous testing. All of our formulas have undergone clinical trials, and none of the participants in the trials have ever experienced irritation or breakouts when using only Goodhabit products.

Never will we ever use parabens. Our formulas are free of parabens, as well as other questionable ingredients.

We totally understand you have to road-test a formula a few times before determining whether or not it's right for you, but if more than half of the product has been used, we unfortunately cannot accept returns or exchanges on it.

Blue light is a high-frequency, high-energy light in the violet/blue band of the visible light spectrum that can cause premature signs of aging and skin damage similar to that of overexposure to the sun. It is emitted from all electronic devices with screens — meaning your phone, tablet, computer, TV, and smart watch. On average, we're in front of our screens about 12 hours a day (a.k.a. half our lives), exposing your skin to blue light at a constant and uncontrolled rate. Blue light can penetrate down to the third layer of your skin, whereas UVA and UVB rays from the sun (we're sure you're familiar) only impact the first and second layers. Constant exposure to blue light increases the risk of more pronounced fine lines and wrinkles, dullness, discoloration, age spots, loss in firmness, and generally tired-looking skin.

We believe that what we put into our formulas is as important as what we leave out, and you can rest assured that you will never find microbeads, nanoparticles, parabens, pthalates, or anything in the long list below in our products.

We promise there is nothing wrong with your product. At Goodhabit, we never use colorants of any kind. The beautiful hues of your formula come from a blend of natural ingredients, which can shift in color overtime.

Our proprietary BLU5 technology is a blend of actives infused into all of our formulas designed to hit the block and undo buttons on the photoaging effects of artificial blue light.

The technology defends your skin in the five following ways:

Neutralizes the effects of blue light, shielding skin from future damage

Creates youthful-looking skin, helping to smooth over fine lines and wrinkles

Brightens skin tone, preventing and fading hyperpigmentation

Improves elasticity and helps create a more firm, supple appearance

Helps maintain a healthy glow by protecting skin from oxidative stress
